A young man applied for a farm laborer job. When the farmer asked him about his qualifications, he said:
- “I can sleep when the wind blows.”
A few days later, the farmer and his wife were awakened in the night by a violent storm.
They quickly started checking things to see if everything was safe. They found the windows on the farm had been secured. A good supply of firewood had been placed next to the fireplace.
The young man slept soundly.
The farmer and his wife then inspected their property. They found all the tools had been placed in the storage, free from the effect of the elements.
The tractor had been moved to the garage. The barn was properly locked. Even the animals were calm. Everything was just fine.
The farmer then understood the meaning of the young man's words:
- “I can sleep when the wind blows.”
Because the worker did his job faithfully and faithfully when the skies were clear, he was prepared for the storm when it came. So when the wind blew, he had no fear. He was able to sleep in peace.
When we walk in diligence, productivity, and responsibility, then we can rest knowing that we’ve just done what we needed to have done.
Are you being responsible where you live, work or minister?.
If that's the case. So... sleep in peace, you deserve it, you earned it!
