A  dentist noticed that his next patient, a little old woman, was nervous, so he decided to tell her  a little joke as he put on his  gloves.

'Do you know how they make these gloves?' he asked.

'No, I  don't,'  she replied.

'Well,' he spoofed, 'there's a building in  Canada with a big tank of latex, and workers of all hand sizes walk up to the tank, dip in their  hands, let them  dry, Then peel off the gloves and throw them into  boxes of the right size.'

She didn't crack a  smile.

'Oh, well.. I tried,' he thought.

But five minutes later, during a delicate portion of the procedure, she burst out laughing.

'What's so funny?' he asked.

'I was just envisioning how condoms are made!'

(Gotta  watch those little old women! Their minds are always working!)

By paper artist Calvin Nicholls.
There is nothing simple or ordinary about his paper art.
 Where we would simply use a piece of paper and a pair
of scissors, Calvin uses everything you could possibly think
 of to carve, cut and rip perfect details onto his creations.
The motifs are all wildlife, and that must be one of the
hardest categories of things to make with paper since
 there are sometimes impossible details on animals.
 These details are amazing, and I can't even fathom
the time it must have taken to create these
masterpieces of art.

THE SERENITY PRAYER

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY
TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE;
COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN;
AND WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

LIVING ONE DAY AT A TIME;
ENJOYING ONE MOMENT AT A TIME;
ACCEPTING HARDSHIPS AS THE PATHWAY TO PEACE;
TAKING, AS HE DID, THIS SINFUL WORLD
AS IT IS, NOT AS I WOULD HAVE IT;
TRUSTING THAT HE WILL MAKE ALL THINGS RIGHT
IF I SURRENDER TO HIS WILL;
THAT I MAY BE REASONABLY HAPPY IN THIS LIFE
AND SUPREMELY HAPPY WITH HIM
FOREVER IN THE NEXT.
AMEN.
