Ideas for the flat entrance door.

Yes, this is how it looks at the moment. At least the roof has been repaired
and all the shrubs and trees cleaned up.

First viewing of the house, this is what I saw.

I had to climb these rock steps to go into the house through the back area on my first viewing.. On climbing the steps with help of the caretaker I said this is to maintain. I think I had decided to buy the house before seeing the house inside.

“If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap. If you want happiness for a day — go fishing. If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a life time — help someone else.” — Chinese proverb

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” — Oliver Wendell Holmes

 “He who fears he will suffer, already suffers because he fears.” — Michel De Montaigne

 Two elderly grandparents from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says:

“Slim, I’m 83 years old now and I’m just full of aches and pains.

I know you’re about my age. How do you feel?”

Slim says, “I feel just like a newborn baby.”

“Really! Like a newborn baby?” “

Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants”

THE SERENITY PRAYER

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY
TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE;
COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN;
AND WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

LIVING ONE DAY AT A TIME;
ENJOYING ONE MOMENT AT A TIME;
ACCEPTING HARDSHIPS AS THE PATHWAY TO PEACE;
TAKING, AS HE DID, THIS SINFUL WORLD
AS IT IS, NOT AS I WOULD HAVE IT;
TRUSTING THAT HE WILL MAKE ALL THINGS RIGHT
IF I SURRENDER TO HIS WILL;
THAT I MAY BE REASONABLY HAPPY IN THIS LIFE
AND SUPREMELY HAPPY WITH HIM
FOREVER IN THE NEXT.
AMEN.
