Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ripe avacado
- 2 large or 3 medium bananas – frozen, chopped into pieces
- 1/4 c cocoa powder
- pinch sea salt
- 1 tsp maple syrup [optional]
- 2-3 Tbsp cacao nibs, shelled and crumbled [optional if you want choc chips in your ice cream]
METHOD
Blend banana, avocado and salt using a food processor or immersion blender until thick and smooth. Stir through cocoa powder with a spoon until well combined. Add syrup if using. Stir through cacao chips if using.
Pour into a wide flat dish or container and place in freezer. Stir well every 30 minutes or so, breaking up frozen edges and mixing until smooth. Do this approximately 4 times. Alternatively use an ice cream maker, following manufacturer instructions.
Set out for 15 or 20 minutes to soften slightly before using, it is easier to scoop this way. Sharing is optional.
COOK’S NOTES
- The avocado adds fat [good fat, not bad fat] and creaminess. Make sure to use a ripe avocado that doesn’t have stringy brown bits. No one will ever know it’s in there unless you tell them.
- The bananas however can be as brown as you’d like, the riper they are before you freeze them the sweeter they will be.

Bye-Bye Coffins! These Organic Burial Pods Will Turn You Into A Tree When You Die
It basically works like this… first the body is encapsulated in a fetal position and then buried, and either a tree seed or an actual tree is planted above the capsule. You would even pick the type of tree you want to become, just as you would get to choose your very own coffin for a normal funeral.
THE CAPSULE WOULD THEN BE PLANTED IN SOIL LIKE A SEED
The pods are made from a starch plastic which does not prevent the natural decomposition of the capsule and allows the organic matter to transform into minerals, that will provide the earth with nutrients for vegetative organisms. Essentially, these pods will transform cemeteries in forests……
ONCE THE PODS AND TREES ARE PLANTED, IT’S CREATES A “MEMORY FOREST.”
This is actually still a concept since Italian law prohibits this sort of burial – but if it does proceed, there would be an entire memorial park of trees rather than tombstones. You would then be able to visit and care for the tree of your loved one. There are actually places in the US and in England where this type of burial is legal… we’ll just have to wait and see if this catches on in other places around the world.

Key Lime Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Key lime zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 (16-oz.) package powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons Key lime juice
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. milk

How To Make Flea And Tick Powder For Your Pets Naturally?
1. 20 cups of Eucalyptus Oil: Eucalyptus oil is a well known natural bug and insect repellent. Made from eucalyptus tree seeds, the scent of the oil can be unbearable for fleas and insects. 4. One cup of Food Grade Diatom Flour: This is also known as Diatomaceous Earth (DE). It is formed naturally and it is a siliceous, soft sedimentary rock which consists of diatoms’ fossilized remains. The diatoms are mined and ground up to render a powder that looks and feels like talcum powder to us. It is a mineral based pesticide. DE is approximately 3% magnesium, 33% silicon, 19% calcium, 5% sodium, 2% iron and many other trace minerals such as titanium, boron, manganese, copper and zirconium. To insects DE is a lethal dust with microscopic razor sharp edges. These sharp edges cut through the insect’s protective covering drying it out and killing them when they are dusted with DE If they ingest the DE it will shred their insides. This is registered to be used against fleas, cockroaches, bed bugs, crickets, spiders, ticks and many other pests. When you’re going to purchase this from a plant nursery, make sure you ask for food grade (not filter or crystallized grade.
Procedure:

- Also, make sure you apply this along your pets spine and all the other important areas.

10 Smells Cats Can't Resist
Cats have heightened senses, and enjoy smelling all kinds of things, even things we humans think are pretty disgusting. Whatever the case, their noses are usually working overtime, and there are certain odors that seem especially attractive to the feline sniffer.
Here are the top 10 smells cats can’t resist.
10. Anything dead
Like dogs, many cats enjoy whiffing, and then sometimes rolling around on something that’s expired – and I’m not talking about a jug of milk. Outdoor cats have way more opportunities to happen upon a dead bird or chipmunk. Indoor cats wish for those opportunities, but instead settle for No. 9.
9. Invisible, mystery spots
Have you ever noticed your cat obsessing over a mystery spot on a rug or carpet? There’s nothing visible, but they won’t leave the spot alone. They smell it, roll around on it, and sometimes try to cover it … the invisble mystery-thing. I know it’s something in the fibers of the carpet, but it’s just so funny to watch them go nuts over something that looks completely invisible.
8. Another cat’s puke
Another cat’s puke must be incredibly interesting because cats enjoy serious sniffs (and sometimes more) of the stuff. I’ll bet my cats are all, "There’s chicken treats in Phoebe’s puke! I didn’t get chicken treats! No fair!”
