How your body is cleaned naturally without lifting a finger.

This trick sounds too good to be true. This is how your body is cleaned naturally without lifting a finger. It all happens, literally, while you sleep. The secret is our feet. And of course a vegetable that possesses legendary properties.
Asian alternative medicine has known for centuries that feet inhabit a special role within the body. This is because they are divided into zones that are connected to other parts of your body. This knowledge can also be found in the Chinese science of acupuncture, where through stimulation of specific points on the foot, pains from other body parts are almost magically alleviated.
It’s better to use organic onions. You definitely don’t want pesticides on your bare skin. The slice should also be flat and not too thick so that it doesn’t become uncomfortable.
Put the onion slice on the sole of your foot and pull a sock over it so it doesn’t slip.
  1. Your blood is cleaned. Onions contain phosphates which will be absorbed by your feet, leading to a purifying effect.
  2. Bacteria and germs are filtered out of the blood and killed off.
  3. Your feet will smell better (even if that sounds funny after using an onion). All of the toxins and chemicals are extracted by the onion. That is how the air is cleaned its vacinity.
This useful trick isn’t just for the health conscious among us, but for anyone who wants to do something good for their body occasionally without too much effort. Even in the case of an illness, this is a brilliant and uncomplicated boost for your immune system.
Share this easy-peasy method that does something good for your body while helping to give you the upper hand in the case of an illness.

What This Owner Did For Her Brokenhearted Dog Will Surely Make You Smile! adorable!

I can honestly say that this is the best version of Romeo and Juliet story you will ever encounter.
One day, there was a dog who resides across the street from a cat. For almost a year, the dog would always stare at the window just to see the cute cat. The dog knew it was love at first sight and his owner knew he was enamored and in love with the cat.
However, one day, the owner of the cat put plants in their window blocking the dog’s view. Unfortunately, the cat’s owner was not aware about the heartbreak she was causing across the way.
The dog’s owner noticed something different in her dog’s behavior. It seems like the dog was so sad and depressed and it is getting worse every single day. So she decided to make a move. She wrote a note and posted it on the window of the cat’s owner. You will see the note n the next page.
Dogs can’t talk and express how they feel the way we humans do so it is so nice of his owner to step up and help out the heartbroken furry buddy. She wrote a note to her neighbor on his dog’s behalf, confessing his love for their cat and asked nicely, in the name of true love, if they could kindly move their potted plants so her dog can see their cat as she sits by the window sill.

And did it work? Sure it did! The neighbor gladly moved his potted plants so the dog can adore the love of his life three times a day like he used to. The neighbor even posted a note back saying, “For true love.” Awww … this truly gives me all the feels.

Unusual uses for garlic

Keep bugs off your plants: If you want bugs to stay off of your backyard garden (or your urban farming area), but don’t like the idea of icky pesticides, try garlic! A mixture of garlic, mineral oil, and dish soap can be sprayed onto plants to keep crawlers away.
Get rid of your acne: Acne happens sometimes, even when you try to prevent it. Garlic may have a strong smell, but it also has antibacterial properties. That means that fresh cloves can be rubbed onto your acne to reduce their appearance. But maybe don’t do it before you go out, because people will be left wondering what that smell is.
Stop your cough: While steeping garlic like tea may not be the tastiest beverage you’ll have all day, it can be worth a shot as a natural remedy for a bad cough. Can’t stomach the idea of that much garlic flavor? There are plenty of other natural cough remedies.
Heal your ear infection: Remember how we said garlic has antibacterial properties? Here’s another way to take advantage of that! Garlic and olive oil can be combined and dripped into the infected ear. Make sure you check with your doctor to determine what could be causing your ear ache, though.
Remove your splinters: Splinters hurt, and kids are even more prone to shy away from the idea of getting them out forcefully. Next time a stubborn splinter makes its way in, cover the area with a slice of garlic held down by a bandaid. The splinter should work its way out in a few hours.
Repair your glass: Not only is garlic antibacterial, it can also act as a natural adhesive. If you have hairline cracks on glass, simply rub a clove over the crack and wipe away any excess.
Cure your athlete’s foot: Antibacterial, adhesive, AND anti-fungal! Garlic is a true household hack. A few cloves in a warm foot soak can get your athlete’s foot on the road to recovery.
Stop your yeast infection: A yeast infection may be the cause of unusual smells down there, and this garlic use is pretty shocking. We aren’t sure if we would be brave enough to try it, but women around the world sometimes use peeled cloves and a tampon applicator to cure yeast infections.
De-ice your pavement: If you run out of your go-to de-icing method this winter, consider garlic salt instead!
Boost your desire: If you are looking for an aphrodisiac but you hate oysters, you can use garlic instead! While you and your significant other’s breath won’t be so fresh after eating, garlic does aid circulation to your extremities. Don’t like garlic either? There are many other foods to boost the mood.
Interested in even more uses for garlic? Read the full article here. Interested in more household hacks? Baking soda and vinegar both have a variety of uses as well. What are some of your favorite uses for garlic?

10 Simple things to make you happier in your home...

(Editor's Note: In honor of the International Day of Happiness, here is one of our most popular posts on the topic - enjoy!)
Our homes are an extension of who we are: what we do within the walls of our abodes shapes our mood, affects our productivity, and influences our outlook on life. Scientific studies have shown that we can have an impact on our happiness by adjusting the tiny little habits and routines that constitute our daily lives — we are, in fact, in control of our outlook on life.
It's amazing how a few tweaks to our daily habits can become a catalyst for meaningful, positive change. Here are a few simple things you can do every day to feel happier at home.
1. Make your bed. In a popular post last month, I explained the many benefits of daily bed-making. Gretchen Rubin, New York Times best-selling author ofThe Happiness Project, explains that this three minute task is one of the simplest habits you can adopt to positively impact your happiness.
2. Bring every room back to "ready." I learned this trick from Marilyn Paul's clever book, It's Hard to Make a Difference When You Can't Find Your Keys. It's a known fact: Clutter causes stress; order creates a haven from it. This mood-boosting routine is simple: Take about three minutes to bring each room back to "ready" before you depart it. (Unless you have a toddler, or a partner who likes to simulate earthquakes, three minutes should be sufficient.)
3. Display sentimental items around your home. One reason that experiences (and memories of those experiences) make us happier than material things is due to the entire cycle of enjoyment that experiences provide: planning the experience, looking forward to the experience, enjoying the experience, and then remembering the experience. Make your home a gallery of positive memories.
4. Start a one-line-a-day gratitude journal. Before bed, simply jot down one happy memory from that day. (If you have kids, you can ask them, "What was the best part of today?") Reflection is an important part of happiness, and pausing to reflect on a positive event from each day cultivates gratitude. (An added bonus: Later, when your memory is defunct, you will already have all of your meaningful adventures recorded!) If you have trouble getting started with journaling, consider buying a book to guide you. Simple Abundance, by Sarah Ban Breathnach, is a great one.
5. If you can't get out of it, get into it. This tip comes from The Happiness Project. I love the message: The dishes are not going to clean themselves, so you will do it, and you will like it! (Unless, of course, you can outsource this job, in which case I say: Nice work!) Otherwise, get into doing the dishes. Feel the soothing warm water on your hands. Enjoy the tickle of the tiny bubbles. Crank your favorite album at an unusually loud volume, do a couple fist-pumps while shouting "Can I get a hell yeah for the dishes? Hell! Yeah!" and pretend you love it.
6. Before you get up each morning, set an intent for the day. In The Art of Happiness, the Dali Lama says ""Every day, think as you wake up: today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it." Wow. What a wise man. I tend to wake up with a strong visceral reaction that says, "Attention human beings: Be afraid of me before coffee. Be very afraid!" Setting a daily intent makes a huge difference. Your daily intent could be something like "be productive" or "enjoy today's delicious moments" or it could be something more specific like "say thank you to my loved ones today." But it should not be another "to do" item on your list.
7. Do small favors for your housemates, expecting nothing in return (not even a thank you!). (That's right, I said it: nothing!) Mow the lawn for your husband, but don't expect him to pat you on the back. Make the bed for your wife, but don't try to get bonus points for it. Take the trash out for your roommate, just because. The ability to cultivate strong, healthy relationships is one of the biggest contributors to health and happiness, but when you start to keep score, the benefit is lost. (No! It's YOUR turn to clean up the dog poop!) It's a well-known fact: When you do good, you feel good.
8. Call at least one friend or family member a day. You can do this while you clean, while you make the bed, or while you walk the dog. Texts and emails do not count! Make an actual phone call to a loved one, just to chat and catch up. We humans are social beings and studies show that even when we don't feel like it, even if we are naturally introverted, socializing with our loved ones makes us feel better.
9. Spend money on things that cultivate experiences at home. Save money for a new grill for parties or a new DVD for family movie night — something that will encourage you to have people over and entertain. Plan a summer barbeque, invite your closest friends, kick back and relax. (And don't forget to print out the pictures to remember the good times.)
10. Spend a few minutes each day connecting with something greater than yourself. Whatever your spiritual beliefs — or non-beliefs — may be, studies show that connecting to a high power is correlated with happiness. Just stepping back to realize that we are part of an enormous universe can put some perspective on your annoyance with the those-are-definitely-not-mine-and-they-are-abso-fricking-lutely-repulsive socks under the coffee table. Before bed, spend just a few minutes contemplating something larger than yourself. Take a walk in nature. Write in a journal. Create a sacred space in your home. (Or if spirituality is really not your thing, create a home spa: light some candles, soak in a hot bath, delve into a good book… are you feeling better yet?)

How-to Make Whipped Coconut Milk Cream

Step 1: Buy a can of full fat coconut milk.
Step 2: Place it in the fridge overnight.
Step 3: Open the can without shaking it or turning upside down.
Step 4: Carefully spoon out the top layer of opaque white stuff that has gathered at the top of the can. Spoon into a mixing bowl. You will be left with about 1/2 cup of white syrup-y looking translucent liquid. Leave this in the can. Note: I use this leftover liquid in numerous coconut-y recipes. Plus, it makes a great coconut syrup - almost like a hydrated extract of coconut flavor.
Step 5: Add 2-3 Tbsp of powdered confectioners sugar to the white stuff. Optional: add cinnamon, vanilla bean - any small amount of flavor you'd like.
Step 6: Grab a hand beater (simple mixers work just as well as expensive ones)
Step 7: Whip the coconut milk froth until creamy. Start on low and move to a higher speed, move the beater in an up and down motion to infuse the mixture with as much air as possible.
Step 8: Serve! You can spoon on top of ice cream, for cream pies, into coffee latte mugs, or eat with a spoon - I guarantee you'll be licking those beaters. And the bowl.

Bee Sting Cake

This bee sting cake recipe or bienenstich is popular in German-speaking countries and Hungarians have borrowed it from their neighbors.

The cake can be made with or without yeast and filled with pastry cream or whipped cream or a combination of the two as it is here. What is common among the varieties is the honey-butter-almond topping, which creates a crispy, crackly top. If you like honey, this is the cake for you -- it's in the batter, the topping and filling.

Bee Sting Cake

Ingredients:

Topping:
  •     7 tablespoons unsalted butter
  •     1/2 cup honey
  •     1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •     1/2 cup sliced almonds

Cake:
  •     1 3/4 cups + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  •     1 tablespoon baking powder
  •     1/2 teaspoon salt
  •     4 ounces (1 stick) butter, slightly softened
  •     5 tablespoons sugar
  •     1/4 cup honey
  •     2 large eggs
  •     1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •     1/2 cup milk

Filling:
  •     1/3 cup cornstarch
  •     1 1/2 cups milk
  •     1/4 cup sugar
  •     1 large beaten egg, room temperature
  •     1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  •     1 cup heavy whipping cream
  •     2 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  •     1/4 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions:

For the Topping: In a medium saucepan, melt butter and honey. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes. Add vanilla and almonds, remove from heat and set aside to cool.

For the Cake: Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cut a parchment circle to fit the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Coat pan bottom and sides with cooking spray. Place parchment circle in bottom of pan.

Combine 1 3/4 cups flour, baking powder and salt and set aside. In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream 4 ounces butter until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Gradually beat in 5 tablespoons sugar, about 3 minutes. Add 1/4 cup honey and beat 1 more minute.

Blend in eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla and half the flour mixture, and mix briefly. Scrape down sides of bowl. Add milk, then remaining flour, beating briefly after each addition.

Scrape into prepared pan, spreading evenly. Sprinkle top with remaining 1 tablespoon flour, then pat top of cake smooth with your hand. Pour topping over batter, gently spreading evenly. Place pan on a baking sheet and bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick tests clean. Do not overbake. Cool cake in pan completely on a wire rack.

For the Filling: In the top of a double boiler over medium heat, combine cornstarch, milk and 1/4 cup sugar. Stir constantly until thickened, at least 3 minutes. Add in 1 beaten egg and keep stirring constantly for about 2 minutes until very thick. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract, if using.

Chill in an ice-water bath, stirring occasionally. Place plastic wrap in direct contact with surface of pastry cream and refrigerate until cold, at least 1 hour.

Whip the cream with the cream of tartar and confectioners' sugar until stiff. Add a dollop of cream to the pastry cream and stir to lighten the cream. Then fold in remaining whipped cream. Refrigerate while you prepare to assemble the cake.

Run a knife around the edges of the cooled cake and remove the springform ring. Invert cake onto a plate. Peel off the parchment paper and invert again on a serving platter, so the almond side is showing. Cut cake in half horizontally and fill with pastry cream. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Makes 10 to 12 servings

How to Make DIY Concrete Nesting Tables with Legos

Scientific Study Finds Eating Coconut Oil Daily Leads to Reduction in Waist Size

Now it is clear how is weight loss associated with coconut oil. It is all about the length of the fatty acid chains found in the oil. Coconut oil contains medium-chain fatty acids, or medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs).
MCTs differ from common long-chain fatty acids in other plant oils. Most oils contain long-chain fatty acids, or triglycerides (LCTs). The body stores LCTs as fat, and it uses MCTs for energy.
scientific-study-finds-eating-coconut-oil-daily-leads-to-reduction-in-waist-size
Coconut oil is the richest source of MCTs in nature. It boosts metabolism and aids in the weight loss process. MCT’s promote what scientists refer to as thermogenesis. Thermogenesis stimulates metabolism and boosts energy. Japanese researchers have found that by consuming foods rich in MCTs, like coconut oil, MCTs are easily absorbed and carried directly to the liver through the portal vein.
First, by replacing LCTs with MCTs, the body is less prone to storing fat. Second, moderate diet rich in MCTs is much more effective than low-fat diet when it comes to reducing fatty deposits.
Researchers have compared the metabolic effect of 400-calorie meals of MCTs and LCTs and measured the metabolic rates prior to and six hours after the meals.
Their research showed that MCT-rich meals lead to an average 12-percent increase in the basal metabolic rate, as compared with the 4-percent increase in the case of LCT-loaded meals.
The researchers found that the replacement of fat with MCTs could “over long periods of time produce weight loss even in the absence of reduced [caloric] intake.”(study)
Coconut oil is the richest natural source of MCTs. These not only boost metabolism and stimulate healthy weight loss, they also provide great health benefits.
Lauric acid is the dominant MCT in coconut oil. Dr. John Kabara, a lipid researcher, says “Never before in the history of man is it so important to emphasize the value of Lauric Oils.
The medium-chain fats in coconut oil are similar to fats in mother’s milk and have similar nutraceutical effects.” Ayurvedic practicants recognized these benefits centuries ago.
Modern science has now connected these two natural products – it is all in their fat or lipid content. Coconut oil is the second best source of lauric acid and medium chain fatty acids, right after breast milk.
If you still believe that there is no evidence on the power of coconut oil to stimulate weight loss, you may want to think again.

Desmond Tutu Blasts ANC South African Gov't as Worse Than Apartheid

by PAUL FASSA
cayennebowel
Cayenne (Capsicum annuum or frutescens, or red pepper) has been in continuous use by Native Americans as a food and medicine for roughly 9,000 years.
Chilies belong to the nightshade family, same as tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplant. They originated from the Americas.  In the wake of  Christopher Columbus, many cultivars of chili pepper are found around the world and they are still being used as food and as medicine.
Cayenne Pepper is derived from grinding the dried red skins of several types of hot chili peppers.
 SOME LIKE IT HOT
The hot, pungent sometimes burning taste of cayenne pepper is derived from its most active compound known as capsaicin, (/kæpˈseɪ.ɨsɪn/; chemical name 8-methyl-N-vanillyl-6-nonenamide) Capsaicin is the most active ingredient in cayenne; it’s the main capsaicinoid in chili peppers. The hotter the chili pepper the more capsaicin it contains.
Myth Buster: The heat of a chili is NOT primarily in the seeds. Yes, the seeds do have some heat, but by far most of the capsaicin is located in the ribs that hold the seeds.
anatomy jalapeno

Factoid: “Capsaicinoids are derived from the compound vanillinwhich gives vanilla its delicious taste and smell. Surprisingly, their “hotness” or “spiciness” is not a taste but rather a sensation. There are no taste buds associated with capsaicinoids.”

CHILI PEPPER EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Cayenne pepper is the one herb that should be in everyone’s medicine cabinet as part of their emergency first aid kit. Cayenne is the ‘go to herb’ when you need to quickly stop severe bleeding within seconds. A modicum of research reveals that cayenne pepper has many other exceptional health benefits and medicinal uses as well, including stopping a heart attack cold within minutes of ingestion. However, this article is focused on how to use cayenne to stop both external and internal bleeding in emergency situations.
“In 35 years of practice, and working with the people and teaching, I have never on house calls lost one heart attack patient and the reason is, whenever I go in–if they are still breathing–I pour down them a cup of cayenne tea: a teaspoon of cayenne in a cup of hot water, and within minutes they are up and around.” Dr. Christopher
John Raymond Christopher (1909–1983) was an American herbalist, often called “Dr. Christopher” while not holding any doctorate. He is known for his numerous publications on herbs and natural healing, including School of Natural Healing.
With minimal research and some curiosity you’ll soon discover what a remarkable herb cayenne is and why it absolutely must be part of your herbal apothecary. For more information and actual case studies about this remarkable herb peruse Dr. Christopher’s site.
HOW TO USE CAYENNE FOR EXTERNAL WOUNDS
According to the late Dr. Christopher, “By the time you count to ten, the heavy bleeding should stop completely after administering cayenne pepper.”
First relax, take a deep breath and get centered. It’s a very simple protocol.
Next take some cayenne pepper powder or tincture and simply apply it liberally and directly into the bleeding cut or laceration. The bleeding should stop within 10-15 seconds. If you use a cayenne tincture use the dropper to directly flood the wound with tincture, or if you just have a jar of homemade tincture you can pour some  into a small bowl and then soak a clean, cotton ball in the bowl of cayenne tincture. Now squeeze the tincture into the wound via the saturated cotton ball.
Cayenne tincture should be reserved for small cuts and scrapes. If you’re dealing with a large wound that’s bleeding profusely, call 911 as you pack the wound with lots of cayenne pepper powder and additionally take at-least a teaspoon or so  of cayenne powder in a glass of warm water and drink it down fast.
Cayenne is a powerful styptic (a substance capable of stopping bleeding when applied to a wound.) It does this by quickly equalizing blood pressure and triggering coagulation or blood clotting, which happens faster thanks to cayenne. Not only does it stop bleeding quickly, it also disinfects the cut so there’s no need to worry about an infection setting in.
Surprisingly, many people report that Cayenne powder doesn’t sting when it’s applied directly to an open wound!
Here’s a quote from the late Herbalist Dr. John Christopher’s book, School of Natural Healing, “…take a teaspoonful of cayenne in a glass of extra-warm water, drink it down, and by the count of ten, the bleeding will stop. Instead of all the pressure being centralized, it is equalized, and the clotting becomes more rapid. Whether the bleeding is internal or external, a teaspoon of cayenne taken orally in a glass of hot water will stop the bleeding quickly.”
 NUMBER ONE FIRST AID HERB
Dr. Schulze roundly proclaims that cayenne pepper is the number one first aid herb — bar none! It should be used whenever there’s a problem with blood – loss of blood, disease, clots, or even stoppage.
NOTE: Dr. Richard Schulze, N.D., M.H. is one of the FOREMOST Authorities on Natural Healing and Herbal Therapy in the World. He apprenticed with the late Dr Christopher.
 Zoe from Cure Zone:
There is no herb that stops bleeding faster than cayenne – from cuts to internal hemorrhaging. For deep lacerations, I flush out the wound with what I call an anti-infection tincture which has cayenne in it (the formula is in the chapter on slippery elm).

It not only begins to stop the bleeding, but it cleans, disinfects, and even seals the wound. Then, just pack cayenne powder into the wound. It doesn’t burn. On open fresh wounds, there is so much trauma already, you don’t feel a thing. Cayenne stops the bleeding immediately and the high amount of vitamin A and vitamin C in cayenne also clean and disinfect. Plus with any injury, remember to take cayenne internally.”

WHAT KIND OF CAYENNE PEPPER SHOULD I BUY?

“Today, a lot of cayenne sold has been overheated by processing machines, and the healing ability has been cooked right out of it.””- Dr. Schultz
In fact, you should avoid buying cayenne from the spice department of your grocery store. Most herbs and spices are irradiated which makes them ineffective medicinally. Most cayenne pepper powder in the spice section of your favorite grocery probably only has a heat index of 30,000-50,000 or  (SHUs) Scoville Heat Units or HU (heat units) It is recommended by Herbalists to use a powder of 90,000 SHU’s or greater for emergency health issues. The more heat the better! NOTE: “Capsicum or Cayenne Pepper is one of the few herbs that can be measured by its BTU or thermal units. In other words, it is a hot and stimulating pepper plant that can generate heat.”
Dr. Schultz maintains that  your best option is to buy organic cayenne powder from a reputable company that guarantees it has not been irradiated.
Schultz states: “There is more to cayenne than just heat. There are flavonoids in cayenne that will heal heart cells and protect your heart. There are vitamins in cayenne pepper that will destroy bacteria and increase your immune system.” Schultz continues. “The lower quality the cayenne, the less healing occurs. A lot of the cayenne I’ve seen has a smoky smell and a dark color to it. It’s been heated very high during the powdering process, so a lot of the other nutrients that were in there, enzymes and so on, are gone.”
Cayenne also contains vitamins A and C, and carotenoids, the pigments that give red, yellow, and orange plants their vibrant color and contain an abundance of antioxidants.

 INTERNAL APPLICATION
Legendary herbalist Dr. Christopher Cayenne advised his patients to take cayenne pepper orally for a number of health conditions, which includes, lowering blood pressure and preventing or stopping heart attacks. Again it’s simple. Take a teaspoon of cayenne powder and mix it into a cup of warm water and quickly drink it down.
And yes, your mouth will be on fire – but as the oft repeated cliché says: “no pain, no gain. Some have found an effective way to take the edge off  cayenne’s heat is to dissolve a teaspoon of cayenne into warm water and then add the juice of half a lemon and a dash of maple syrup and chug it down. However, for life threatening conditions like heart attacks, it’s necessary to ingest straight cayenne and warm water or cayenne tincture ASAP! For gunshot wounds (who knows?) and other severe lacerations, which can cause internal bleeding as well as external bleeding apply the cayenne powder directly to the wound and also take it internally:
According to Shirley’s Wellness Cafe: “If a hemorrhage occurs in the lungs, stomach, uterus or nose, it is suggested that a teaspoon of extract (or a teaspoon of cayenne powder in a cup of hot water) be given every 15 minutes until the crisis has passed. The bleeding should stop in 10-30 seconds. The reason for this is that rather than the blood pressure being centralized, it is equalized by the Cayenne, and the clotting action of the blood becomes more rapid. For external bleeding, take cayenne internally and pour cayenne directly on the wound.”
 REAL LIFE EXAMPLE
cutthumb
“As I mentioned in my previous two posts about nearly cutting my thumb off, the first thing I did was to put a lot of cayenne pepper directly into the cuts. In addition to the external application of cayenne I also mixed the powder with a glass of water and drank it internally. I don’t know exactly how much I took internally. It was a lot though. Probably way more than I needed, but my wife just dumped a bunch of it into the glass and I started drinking. The bleeding slowed down dramatically within seconds and stopped completely within just a couple of minutes.”

THE SERENITY PRAYER

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY
TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE;
COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN;
AND WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

LIVING ONE DAY AT A TIME;
ENJOYING ONE MOMENT AT A TIME;
ACCEPTING HARDSHIPS AS THE PATHWAY TO PEACE;
TAKING, AS HE DID, THIS SINFUL WORLD
AS IT IS, NOT AS I WOULD HAVE IT;
TRUSTING THAT HE WILL MAKE ALL THINGS RIGHT
IF I SURRENDER TO HIS WILL;
THAT I MAY BE REASONABLY HAPPY IN THIS LIFE
AND SUPREMELY HAPPY WITH HIM
FOREVER IN THE NEXT.
AMEN.
